- Care: Keep in roomy pot filled with rich well-draining soil. Place in full sun, grow lights as well as rotating the plant regularly can be used to provide light to unexposed areas, give 7-10 hours of sunlight daily. Plenty of water is important for Mandarin orange trees, however be careful not to over-water. Trees grow best when watered thoroughly and allowed to drain. Allow soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Water regularly during dry seasons and less regulary during wetter seasons. Check soil is dry before watering. Maintain a steady temperature of 60-80°F(15-20°C). Never let temperatures drop below 28°F(-2°C), so best choice would be to leave plant outside during spring, summer and fall, then bringing it in during winter or whenever freezing temperatures are forcasted
